    Lanah Akvik

    Lanahis excited to be a part of Frost Fire Theater for her first summer season! She is from Walcott, ND and is a Theatre Director/Vocal Director in the Fargo - Moorhead area for middle school and high school students. She also is a Youth Director and Speech Coach. Lanah’s best roles are mom to her 3 wonderful children - Eleanor, Delia, and Henry; and wife to her husband, Kaelan. Some of her past productions include West Side Story, Seussical, and Junie B. Jones Jr. She is most looking forward to all experiencing the feelings of love and laughter that Come From Away will bring to you!

    Daniel Bartholomay

    Daniel“Danny” (he/him) is thrilled to make his debut with Frost Fire Theatre! Originally from Sheldon, North Dakota, Danny earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead and his PhD in Sociology from University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. After spending five years working at a university in Texas, he returned to the Midwest in 2024 to join University of North Dakota as a sociology professor. Since returning to North Dakota, Danny has appeared on stage in Grand Forks as Willy Wonka in Charlieand the Chocolate Factory with Empire Theatre Company, and as theEmcee in Cabaret and Cinderella’s Prince in Into the Woods withGreater Grand Forks Community Theatre.

    Emily Braunberger

    Emily, a Langdon native, is thrilledto be returning for her fourth season with FrostFire Summer Theater. She made her debut in 2009 as Grandmother Tzeitel/Mother in Fiddler on the Roof andhas most recently been seen onstage as Baroness Elsa von Schrader in TheSound of Music (2022) and Aunt Eller in Oklahoma! (2024). She wasalso cast as Laura Ingalls Wilder in Little House on the Prairie beforethe devastating theater collapse. Other notable roles include Eponine in LesMiserables (Cassleton) and Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical (FortTotten). Offstage, Emily is a busy mom of 3 and teaches Kindergarten.Emily is beyond excited FFT is returning to the Pembina Gorge and hopes everyone will spread the word to “come from away” and help keep FFT alive for years to come! She would like to dedicate this performance to her 93-year-old Grandpa Leo Beauchamp of Walhalla.

    Zachary Crawford

    Originally from Sioux City, Iowa, Zach moved to North Dakota inthe fall of 2020 to pursue a degree at NDSU in Fargo. He graduated in May of 2024 with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Still living in Fargo, Zach has been involved with many theatres around the state of North Dakota, including but not limited to Stage West and Act-Up Theatre in the Fargo-Moorhead area, the DPRCA in New Rockford, and FTLT in Devils Lake. This is Zach’s first production with Frost Fire, and he is extremely excited to help bring such a compelling story of community, resilience, and connection to each and every person in the audience. Remember that even when life rears the ugly side of its head to you, having people to count and lean on can truly make a difference. It may even make you a Newfoundlander!

    Walter Criswell

    Walter is thrilled to be part of Come From Away. This is hissecond time performing with Frost Fire, after appearing as The Young Fool in Big River 15years ago. A lifelong lover of film, literature and theatre, he was drawn to this musical’s message of community, kindness and resilience. Walter is an active member of Grand Forks’ theatre community and has acted in productions with The Empty State, Empire Theatre Company and Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre. When he’s not acting, Walter works as a writer and editor at UND Communications, where he shares stories about the University of North Dakota community. He looks forward to working with collaborators, old and new, to bring this story to life.

    Tyler Folkedahl

    Tyler is beyond excited to be back in Walhalla for Come fromAway this summer! Tyler holds a BFA in Musical Theater Performance from the University of North Dakota, and has most recently appeared as Andrew Carnes in Frost Fire's production of Oklahoma. Other regional credits include Rapunzel's Prince in Into the Woods at the Firehall and Rooster in Annie with the Empire Theater Company. When he's not performing onstage, you can catch Tyler slinging lattes at the Urban Stampede or playing video games with his boyfriend Daniel. Enjoy the show!

    Ashley Fredricksen

    Ashley is joining the cast of Come From Away for her first summer at Frost Fire. Originally from Arizona, Ashley has acted professionally across several states, directed shows, and taught theater classes to children ages 5-18. Favorite credits include Millie in Perfect Arrangement (Theatre B), Merril in anthropology (ETC), Hilda in The Thin Place (ETC), Tina in Goosebumps the Musical (FMCT), and the White Rabbit in the world premiere of Curiouser and Curiouser (TheaterWorks AZ). They are excited to tell a beautiful story with some wonderful friends.

    Paige Klemenhagen

    Paige is a senior at Northwestern University studying voice& opera, musical theatre, and communication studies. She has competed in musical theatre and opera competitions, such as American Pop’s NextGen National Competition (Finalist), Spotlight Triple Threat (Finalist), YoungArts (2-time Merit Winner), Hal Leonard National (3rd Place), National Classical Singer (2nd Place), and Schmidt Regional (1st Place). Professionally, Paige has performed in Some Enchanted Evening (Sierra Repertory Theatre), Annie (TheChildren's Theatre), and AlbertHerring (Minnesota Opera).

    Sean McNulty

    This is Sean’s first year at Frost Fire. Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, Sean discovered his passion for theatre after a trip to New York City, where he saw Come From Away on Broadway. That experience inspired him to pursue performing at a higher level. Some of Sean’s previous credits include Watson in Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville, and Howie Newsome in Our Town at UND. Sean is excited to join the Frost Fire community and continue growing as both a performer and storyteller. Sean is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the talented cast and crew in order to bring this show to life.

    Nicole Quam

    Nicole "Nikki" (Beulah) is thrilled to be a part of her first Frost Fire show! She is from Tolna, ND and studied Theatre Arts, Latin, English, and Secondary Education at UND. She is a special education para-professional for Grand Forks Public Schools, works part-time at the YMCA daycare, and is the new Summer Arts Stages tour manager. For the past 17 years she has been heavily involved in theatre in Grand Forks. Some of her favorite roles at the Fire Hall Theater have been Mrs. Forrest in Psycho Beach Party, Crisparkle in The Mystery of EdwinDrood, and Dr. Seward in The Passion of Dracula. Highlightsfrom the Empire include Hannah in The Spitfire Grill, Margery in Handto God, Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein Musical, and Becky in BeckyNurse of Salem. She also appeared in UND's Carrie the Musical asMargaret. She thanks her friends and family for their support.

    Zoe Serna

    Born andraised in Grand Forks, ND, Zoe is elated to be a part of her first ever Frost Fire production! Previously seen in productionssuch as Grease and Les Misérables, she is honored to help tell the vulnerable, lived experiences, potrayed in Come From Away. Zoe is currently pursuing a BFA in musical theatre, at the Chicago College of Performing Arts, and has recently settled into the beautiful city of Chicago to follow this dream! While she has found a new place to call home, she is so grateful to be able to give back to her community through theatre one last time.

    Nathan Vincenti

    Nathan (Kevin/Dwight/Ali, Dance Captain) is a French-American actor born in Paris and raised all across the U.S. NYU Tisch BFA (Stella Adler, Stonestreet Studios). It is an honor for him to be in lovely North Dakota for the first time to perform! Off-B’way: October 7th (Dor/Isaac), Sorry We’re Closed (Isaiah).     Madilyn Crump

    Madilyn is amusical theatre performer based in Langdon, North Dakota. In the fall of 2026, she will pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at AMDA. Her recent credits include Mean Girls as Cady Heron and Bye ByeBirdie as Rosie Alvarez. She has also earned Outstanding Actresshonors at both the regional and state drama levels. Madilyn was in many theater-based clubs throughout her high school career and cannot wait to start her professional career in musical theater. She is honored to be part of this amazing cast and is excited to welcome everyone “To the Rock!”

    Nile Riedhammer

    I’m excited to be part ofFrost Fire’s production during my first year involved with the company. I grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This Fall, I will be attending North Dakota State University to study Music Education. Over the years I’ve been involved in many productions at Red River High School including Grease, All Shook Up, Hadestown, Little Women, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, growing as a performer and bringing this production to life with such a talented cast.

    Taj Baang

    Hello, my name is Taj. I am a violinist and instrumentalperformance major at Concordia College: Moorhead. I am originally from Minot, ND and have been playing the violin for about 8 years. I have played for the Minot Symphony Orchestra for several years, and I have subbed for several other community and professional orchestras such as the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra and the Fargo Moorhead Symphony Orchestra. I have also played as a pit musician for a few productions such as Carmen and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. I am curious and excited to see what this production of Come From Away is like! I have never worked as an on-stage pit musician, so it will be a great experience, and I look forward to learning all that I can!

    Claire Chumley


    Claire is a resident of Bismarck, North Dakota, where she was born. She is a junior at Concordia College studying music with a minor in Greek and Roman studies. She is a bassist in the Concordia Orchestra and is involved in Concordia’s Theatre. In their free time they like to enjoy time outdoors, driving, and shopping. She is playing the bass in Come From Away, which is actually their first time in a pit and not on stages! They hope to spread joy and laughter throughout the process and make some new friends and memories
    along the way.

    Matthew Staley


    Matthew J. Staley (Mandolin) is very excited to joinFrost Fire for the first time to work on this incredible score with the rest of the orchestra, as well as the cast and creative team. This is his first time performing strictly in an orchestra, having primarily done a few fully integrated shows of actors and musicians. Originally from Hamilton, NJ, Matt has been playing various instruments for 22 years. He studied musical theater at Rider University in 2015, receiving his BFA, and has been working around the country ever since in many actor/musician musicals such as the national tour of Once (Eamon), Million Dollar Quartet (Carl Perkins), Waitress (Dr. Pomatter), and Amelie (Lucien), as well as many more!
